Below is a message from poet, Anis Mojgani (that’s him at the top right of this page), about his performance piece on Famecast.com. Anis is a 2 time USA Individual Slam Champion and will soon have a book of his poems published by House of Parlance Media, Inc.

Hello all,

I’m currently a contender in a web competition at www.famecast.com.

Famecast is a competition putting performers on video display for folks to view and vote for, the winner of which receives $10,000. Now in its 3rd round, after whittling an open call down to 25 poets, I find myself amongst that group as the contest continues to select the top 10 from this round.

If you’re able to take a few minutes to visit the site and cast a vote for my poem, shake the dust, it would be greatly appreciated. It can be seen if one goes here, and scrolls till I pop up.

Voting for this round continues until noon, eastern time, on the 4th of July. From the top ten, it’ll be narrowed down to the top five, who will be brought down to Austin for a live showdown, broadcast online. Remaining dates are:
ROUND 3: Vote for top 10 from 6/20 to 7/4
ROUND 4: Vote for top 5 from 7/11 to 7/18
FINALS: 8/11

To vote simply visit: famecast.com
Hit the log in button on the right side of the top menu and register.

Then one can either look up Anis in the search
or
under the “stages” button, go to the spoken word stage and scroll through.

Upon finding, simply hit vote.

To anyone who has already voted, thanks for your help. This round is very much crunch time, so if you are also able to spread the word to folks who would be interested in supporting as well that I may not be aware of how to get ahold of, please do so.
