Shane Koyczan, Dan Mangan & Mark Berube Live at the Cultch
Tuesday, February 27, 2007 at 9pm.
A night of blended talents involving local singer/songwriters Mark Berube and dan Mangan and also spoken word artist Shane Koyczan (along with his band ‘The Short Story Long’). Each performer comes from a different stream of thought; each with a unique and effective means to connect with the audience.

The evening will be a non-stop mix (i.e., there will be no traditional ’sets’, simply a running performance derived from the material of all artists) of solo performances and inter-artist collaborations between any combination of all those on stage. Shane’s band (three piece) forms a musical backbone for his work by involving beautiful female harmonies, pianos and accordions and harmonicas. Mark’s performances (piano and accordion) are supported by a two-piece band (stand up bass and drums). Dan’s performances rely mostly on acoustic guitar. Having all worked together previously in one way or another, the three have never performed at the same event. Berube, Mangan and Koyczan have each been recognized for their individual efforts, lyrical prowess and powerful performances- it will be a treat for each performer to share the stage with their cohorts, and a treat for the audience to see it all go down!

Tickets: All tickets- $18 (plus applicable service charges).
